Publication supportWe can help you at any stage of the publication process, giving you individual support at any time you need. Some of the services we provide include:
Journal selection Perhaps your manuscript has been rejected from a journal on the grounds of suitability, or you may simply be overwhelmed by the vast choice of journals available. We can narrow your selection down to a few that are appropriate for your manuscript, explaining why we think each one is suitable, and allowing you to make an informed choice about where to submit. Submitting to an appropriate journal will greatly improve your chances of successful publication. Reviewer selection Does your target journal require you to provide a list of potential reviewers? If you're not sure whom to include, we can help. We will explore your field to identify researchers who may be suitable, avoiding those with whom you have collaborated recently. Writing abstracts and cover letters The importance of a good abstract and cover letter cannot be underestimated. They are the first representations of your study that a journal editor will see, and will often determine whether your manuscript is sent to peer review. Once the paper is published, the abstract may be the only part a reader will ever see; it's the publicly available portion of your study, so for maximum impact it must be written in language that a broad audience will understand. We will read your manuscript thoroughly and write a concise, accurate and engaging cover letter or abstract from it, highlighting your most important findings and the significance of the study. Checking your response to peer review If your manuscript has been through peer review, we can help ensure your revisions and responses are written well and fully address each point in the peer review report. And much more. If there is anything you'd like advice or guidance on, please ask us. |
